VOPNAFJÖRÐUR AIRPORT
Vopnafjörður Airport is located on the banks of River Hofsá at the inner end of Vopnafjörður fjord about 4km from Vopnafjörður village in north-east Iceland. Norlandair operates scheduled flights to and from Akureyri Airport five times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thirsdays, Fridays and Sundays. For further information see Norlandair.is.
AT THE AIRPORT
We recommend that you arrive at the airport well in advance of departure to avoid queues and so that the airline can keep on schedule. Arriving about 30 minutes before your take-off is a good rule of thumb for this airport.
